While the weather can swing 30 degrees in one day, the Dow swinging 10x as much in the same period, politicians blatantly selling Senate seats, and the rest of the world going to hell, there are things that are still good and true:

1. New York City is awesome
2. The holiday season in the city is equally great

On the subway there other day, I saw someone throw himself between the doors to let these two old women catch the subway. Doesn’t sound like much, but it was a happy scene.

Then on the same subway, there were three guys who sang Christmas carols. But they didn’t just sing regular carols, they sang carols with a beatboxer. That made it awesome. I recorded a bit of it below.

I love the holidays in the city.
